BUFFALO, NY - The long-standing rule at the Buffalo Zoo prohibiting visitors from feeding the animals in most exhibit areas prevails, in place to keep them healthy and protect their nutritional needs. However, a Buffalo Zoo Animal Enrichment Program allows the public to donate goods to stimulate wild appetites. Seneca One Realty, LLC, owner and operator of One HSBC Center, recently learned about the initiative, spearheaded a Zoo Thanksgiving food drive and will deliver 10 barrels of treats collected from the tenants of downtown Buffalo's tallest building Tuesday, November 21, 10 AM. Several zookeepers will
be on-hand unloading, and one of the Zoo's residents will be presented some of the goodies. Media should enter the Zoo through Service Gate #1, located at the foot of Colvin and Meadow Drive across from Delaware Park.

Enrichment items collected at One HSBC Center that will stock the Zoo's pantry for the winter include Apple JacksTM and Froot LoopsTM cereals, dog biscuits, extracts and spices, peanut butter, plastic toys (Frisbees, balls) and rawhide chews. Through the Animal Enrichment Program, the animals are introduced to new toys, smells and creative ways to acquire their food to encourage healthy, natural behavior.

"This was a tremendous effort on behalf of all the tenants at One HSBC Center in the spirit of holiday giving," said Stephen P. Fitzmaurice, Seneca One Realty Chief Operating Officer. "It was inspiring to see people bustling in and out the building but remembering to stop at the donation station to support one of our cultural treasures."
